OMCORE

Yoga

Based on traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga practices and adapted for the modern, Western body, our classes offer you an opportunity to explore breath, movement, and meditation in a safe, supportive, and relaxed environment.

See class descriptions below!

Hot Power Yoga

Faster-paced, multi-level, yoga flow classes set to upbeat music, incorporating vigorous moves to strengthen and stretch the muscles, develop muscular endurance and balance, and increase range-of-motion of the joints. Classes are held in a room heated to 80-82* degrees. Yoga experience and/or strong athletic ability required.

Slow Flow Yoga

These lightly heated classes are designed to allow each participant to transition from pose to pose while maintaining deep awareness of the breath, allowing heat to build from the inside out. Breathwork, longer holds, deeper stretches, and final relaxation are all included. Classes are held in a 70-72* degree room.  Yoga experience recommended.

Gentle Yoga

These non-heated classes are suitable for beginners and for those with experience who would like to explore more deeply the proper forms of yogasana (yoga poses.) Class will include breathing exercises (pranayama), foundational poses, traditional yoga stretches, and deep relaxation. Focus is on both the basic and therapeutic aspects of yoga and breathing deeply into a safe practice.

Strength + Stretch

Our Strength and Stretch class is appropriate for people of ALL ages but is specially designed to meet the needs of individuals 50 and up. Muscle and bone strengthening exercises, postural exercises, gentle stretching, balancing work, and traditional yoga poses and breathwork are all included in this class. It is excellent for anyone just starting their yoga and fitness journey and for those looking for overall wellness.
